“ The first time I visited, it was for their donuts. Their Christmas-themed donuts were incredibly creative in appearance, and they were both sweet and soft. My second visit was for the Dubai chocolate-covered strawberries. I paid $15, which I wouldn't have minded if the strawberries had been sweet, but unfortunately, they weren't. I went on a Sunday afternoon when there was a long line, but it moved quickly. ”
“ My friend and I wanted to check this place out because of all the hype with their Dubai donuts. Thanks to Instagram and Tik tok. It was Monday and got there around 11am and there were a line about 5-6 people. There wasn't much selection of donuts left but they had dozens of Dubai Donuts which I really wanted to try. That was the only donut I bought for $7! That's one expensive donut so I had high expectations. It was good! The donut was a regular size and looked nice. It was chocolatey and had a nice crunch but not sure if it was $7 good. I wanted to try the Dubai strawberry cup but it was $15 so I passed on it. Overall, I would say come here to try some different unique flavors of donuts or for a special occasion. Donuts were cute and pretty I must say. You gotta go check it out if you're in the area! ”
“ My spouse has brought donuts occasionally from this shop but we had not visited in a couple months. My daughter wanted to try the viral Dubai chocolate pistachio strawberry cups. It did not disappoint. It was not too sweet the strawberries were ripe and delicious. We also ordered the one ube coconut cream, Dubai chocolate donut, and a raspberry donut with a macaroon on top. I stopped on Saturday morning at 9:30 there was a long line inside but it moved very quickly. The staff provided excellent service and kept the line moving non stop. These donuts are pricey but meant as a treat. For perspective we ordered two chocolate Dubai strawberry cups, 2 chocolate Dubai donuts, 1 donut with a mini macaroon, and one ube coconut cream donut. The total was $51.74 I don't think our order has ever cost that much. Pro tip: you can scan their QR code and order ahead. I also found out today they no longer carry the Sanrio donuts do to trademark : ( ”
“ Been going here for years, and returning for the viral dubai creation of strawberry cups and Dubai donut. Elk Grove Donut is having its moment and definitely capitalizing on it. I enjoy the donut, although the filling was very minimal and could be more filled considering I'm paying 8 bucks for it. The strawberry cup is a whopping $15. In this economy, these items are not economically priced at all, given what you're getting. The staff are super nice and welcoming. But the next time you're getting a small cup of strawberries with chocolate and kataifi mixed with pistachio paste, just remember you could've also gotten a fat chipotle steak bowl with that. I hope as the craze die down, they'll be more reasonable with the prices. ”
“ This place gets busy - so be there early! The staff is very friendly, but you definitely want to keep the line flowing, so do your research on what to order before getting there, haha. It is very clean & "refreshing" in there. I found out about Elk Grove donuts through a tiktok video & they did not disappoint. Their Dubai chocolate covered strawberries are so good. 100/10. I need to ask where they get the strawberries from because they were delicious! I realized that I'm not a "fancy donut" type... I like my donuts pretty simple (glazed or maple). We tried the Dubai chocolate donut & it was good, just A LOT of chocolate - I kept it as a dessert over the next 2 days. We also tried the Ube filled donut, but it didn't really taste like Ube to me. Would definitely be back any time I'm in the area! ”
“ Had been eyeing this spot for their Dubai chocolate donut!! Finally was in the area before 3pm when they close. We came by a bit before 9am. My favorite donut is an apple fritter but the thing is, they're usually so big i don't want to eat it all by myself...it's too much donut. I was surprised to see they offer smaller ones!! We got 6: - 2 Dubai chocolate, $14 ($7 each) - Biscoff cinnamon roll, $4.50 - mini apple fritter, $1.85 - jelly filled, $1.85 - maple bar, $1.85 Total: $24 The Dubai chocolate one was filled with pistachio cream and the crunchy kataifi, with a hard chocolate shell exterior. Really tasty! Apple fritter was soft on the inside and that thump sound on the outside! The jelly filled could've been filled a bit more. First bite, I got all dough. So, that's telling. There wasn't a lot of filling. :/ Nonetheless, We enjoyed all the donuts. Lots of bottled drinks in the fridge. No indoor seating. Service was okay from the gal. I asked questions about their special donuts.... No smiles, more business from her. There was also a guy there and he was quite cheerful. I thought we'd get him. Lol. I do wish they would put little signs in the display case for the special donut names. Would save everyone time from asking, what's that one, what's this one... Looking forward to our next visit! ”
“ My husband and I had this crazy idea to wake up at 4am Christmas morning to drive 25 minutes to Elk Grove for some Christmas donuts to surprise our daughter with so that's what we did! Elk Grove Donuts opened at 5am on Christmas Day and we were first in line! They had a whole case full of classic donuts as well as Christmas themed ones, they didn't have The Grinch ones when we arrived, but they had plenty of other options to choose from. We ended up taking home a dozen as well as one of their Dubai Chocolate Strawberries. They're donuts are soft and sweet, but definitely not the best ones I've ever had. I do like that they have unique flavors like the viral Dubai Pistachio Chocolate and Ube. I even love their Sanrio and Halloween themed donuts that they do! The inside was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would I drive out of my way again for these donuts? Probably not, but they did make for a great Christmas Day breakfast and the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries were a nice sweet treat! Check them out! ”
“ I'm so glad we have this donut shop close by. Every donut we've tried so far is awesome. It's not too sweet, which means perfect haha. They have lots of special donuts, but they do run out quick. If there's a particular special donut you'd like, call ahead and place an order. We did that when they had their Dubai Donuts. Service is always quick and friendly. If you have questions, they are willing to explain in detail. The place doesn't have tables to sit, but because the donuts are so good, you probably wont have time to sit, since it'll probably be in your tummy already haha. When looking for a donut spot that consistently good, head over to Elk Grove Donuts! ”
